Final Cut and Avid compliance plug-ins

As leaders in hardware compliance products for the broadcast and post-production industries we are currently developing a suite of compliance tools including video legalization to be made available as Final Cut fxPlug plug-ins and Avid AVX plug-ins. These plug-ins will allow NLE users access the benefits of over a decade of dedicated compliance product development directly within their prefered NLE environment.

Initial development has focused on porting our industry leading legalEyes (video legalizer) and safeEyes (safe area generator / text height measurement) hardware product functionality into software only plug-ins.

We have also been hard at work on KARMAudioAU, a Mac OS X Audio Unit plugin suitable for use in Final Cut and Soundtrack Pro to provide ITU-R.BT-1770 based loudness targeting.

Planned future developments include photo-sensitive epilepsy analysis.

filter support in Final Cut Studio Compressor 3.5

A number of parties have expressed an interest in the ability to access our legalEyesFC plug-in from Compressor 3.5 to enable them to take full advantage of the workflow automation capabilities of Final Cut Studio & Final Cut Server. We think this is a very sensible idea and have raised this idea to Apple who have advised us that this is not currently possible although they have logged the idea of enabling pre-processing filters in Compressor as an enhancement request. If you would like to see this functionality in future release please use the Compressor feedback form to let Apple know. The more interest that is shown in this feature the sooner it is likely to be implemented.

beta testers

We are always keen to receive feedback on our product developments and will be looking for a number of beta sites to test out the plug-ins for both Final Cut and Avid.
